With the collaboration of the Coral Escola de Música Sant Gervasi

#encrisis taps into the constant stream of people and ideas that flow through MACBA in order to reflect on the present moment, in which paradigm changes and new working models prevail.

Overwhelmed by the institutionalised discourse of politics and economists, we invite artists, philosophers, researchers and poets to share their ideas about what is happening to us, to comment on the positive and negative implications of this structural crisis, and to imagine an uncertain future. We get the ball rolling with Daniela Ortiz, Marcelo Expósito and Miguel Noguera.

Marcelo Expósito is an artist, teacher and curator. He lives and works between Barcelona and Buenos Aires. He is currently academic co-director of the MACBA Independent Studies Programme (PEI), and associate professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Castile-La Mancha. He is a member of Universidad Nómada and the Conceptualismos del Sur network, and part of the multilingual webjournal "transversal".

Daniela Ortiz is a Peruvian artist who lives and works in Barcelona. Her work has been exhibited in Spain, the United States, Peru, Sweden, Romania and the Czech Republic. She co-edits the information node antigonia.com with Xose Quiroga.

Miguel Noguera is an artist, comedian, writer and cartoonist. His surreal, dry and irreverent work has gone out to audiences in the form of books and the performances that he calls “Ultrashows”, which combine the classic monologue format with projected illustrations.
