Margaret Leng Tan
The artistic partnership between John Cage and Merce Cunningham is the origin of a broad programme of activities celebrated around the city during this autumn. The MACBA explores the Cage’s legacy with the exhibition The Anarchy of Silence. John Cage and Experimental Art and also proposes other formats of approach to the Cage-Cunningham collaborating works.
Pianist Margaret Leng Tan collaborated with John Cage from 1981 until his death. She is one of the pre-eminent interpreters of Cage’s music and she also is the world’s leading toy piano performer.
