The Portuguese musician based in Barcelona, Nuno Rebelo, defines his work as a process designed to expand the frontiers of music. His work, as extensive and multi-dimensional as his interests, involves improvisational sessions, pieces composed for instrumental groups, electronic music and sonic sculptures.

Son[i]a speaks to Nuno Rebelo to celebrate his performance at the MACBA as part of the ZNGR Electro-Acoustic Ensemble. In this interview, Rebelo follows an imaginary journey that spans the experimental origins of Mler Ife Dada, the pop group that he began playing with in the eighties, to his productions of kinetic installations and musical sculptures.
