Hélène Cixous is one of the most remarkable French writers and thinkers on the contemporary scene, exerting great influence in the fields of post-modernity and gender studies. Her literary style, which she herself has referred to as philosophical fiction, is characterised by a very special treatment of language and is influenced by psychoanalysis and the work of Jacques Derrida. SON[I]A speaks with Marta Segarra, director of the seminar "Hélène Cixous: Secret cities", and presents us with reflections on the literary work of the French author.
