"It's the bomb! The Cold War in Animated Film" is a children's film season forming part of "Short Histories of the Cinema", a larger season of animated films produced for the most part to educate children on either side of the Iron Curtain, in the United States and the former USSR, during the Cold War. The films show how the authorities informed and disinformed citizens, and how the cinema industry and the artists working for it interpreted this information in the name of awareness-raising and entertainment.

This SON[I]A talks with Carolina Caballero, the curator of this film season, about the films produced by the two opposing sides, and the way they were used for propaganda purposes just after the Second World War and during the Cold War.
