The films of Amos Gitai (Haifa, 1950) take a critical look at the historical formation of the Middle East and the State of Israel. Time and Space are the protagonists hinging on two axes: fiction and documentary. These small social and political universises are a metaphor for conflict. Through personal experience and a subjective point of view, Gitai introduces a wide variety of connected subjeccts into his microcosms: utopia, exile, home, social control, and religión.

Cities, territories, borders (30/04/2008 - 09/06/2008) is a series that hinges on the three title aspects, applying the concept of trilogy to the form as a mechanism of resistence against a singular vision of reality.

Also, this program includes films by Chris Maker and Pier Paolo Passolini, as they are related to Amos Gitai’s work and deal with the creation of the State of Israel.
