Son[i]a #87
With the exhibition “Modernologies. Contemporary artists researching modernity and modernism”, the MACBA presents lines of research, analysis and criticism that, through the work of numerous artists, offer a response to Modernity and its utopian project for a universal language. Around 130 works by 30 artists and collectives make up this critical cartography of Modernity, divided into three interconnected parts: the production of space, the idea of a universal language and the politics of display.
Son[i]a talks to the MACBA’s director Bartomeu Marí and the curator of the project, Sabine Breitwieser.
