Son[i]a #23
Jorge Ribalta
The current revision of intellectual property rights that defines cultural production and its consumption bears a direct relation to the museum and its public function. Beyond its role in the industry of culture and the art market, the museum is transformed into a space for general education capable of establishing other formulas for learning and other types of relationship with its users. In this SON[I]A, MACBA’s head of Public Programmes Jorge Ribalta talks about the capacity of the public institution for generating a common, shared heritage.
