Michel Feher
Michel Feher is a philosopher, founding editor of Zone Books and president of Cette France-là, a French organization that publishes an annual volume dedicated to a critical analysis of the immigration policy of the government of Nicolas Sarkozy. He is the author of ‘Powerless by Design: The Age of the International Community’ (2000) and a co-editor of ‘Nongovernmental Politics’ (2007), with Gaëlle Krikorian and Yates McKee.
SON[I]A speaks to Micher Feher about the failure of neo-liberal policy and about possible alternatives through citizen activism in the face of the tyranny of the markets. We also deal with key moments in his career as an editor.
Michel Feher talks about the neoliberal project and its repercussions on education and culture. Feher also explores the importance of language, both in its liberal roots and in the changes that it has undergone in recent years as a result of the economization of politics.
