RADIO WAVES #2
Hot Songs for a Cold War

Curated by Serge Guilbaut
This three program series directed by Serge Guilbaut, allows to analyse how intermeshed music was with art scene (1946-1956) and how at times they were closely connected with the intense politics of the Cold War.
This second part is about popular music crisscrossing the Atlantic, allowing the USA and France to share with delight the romantic ballades of Edith Piaf, Juliette Greco, and Charles Aznavour as well as those of The Andrews Sisters, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra and Blossom Dearie.
