With the collaboration of the Coral Escola de Música Sant Gervasi

#encrisis taps into the constant stream of people and ideas that flow through MACBA in order to reflect on the present moment, in which paradigm changes and new working models prevail. Overwhelmed by the institutionalised discourse of politics and economists, we invite artists, philosophers, researchers and poets to share their ideas about what is happening to us, to comment on the positive and negative implications of this structural crisis, and to imagine an uncertain future.

We get the ball rolling with Valentín Roma, Beatriz Preciado and Olivier Schulbaum.

Valentín Roma is an art historian and a lecturer in the museum management postgraduate programme co-organised by the Picasso Museum and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He also teaches Digital Culture and Aesthetics at Elisava School in Barcelona.

Beatriz Preciado is a philosopher and a queer activist. She is a co-director the MACBA Independent Studies Programme (PEI) and teaches History and Theory of the Body and Contemporary Gender Theories at the University of Saint-Denis, Paris.

Olivier Schulbaum is a French-born social entrepreneur based in Majorca. He is a co-founder of Platoniq, a platform of cultural producers and software developers, and co-director of Youcoop and Goteo.
